Reconnaissance is an independent specialist service dedicated to supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the delivery of complex reconstructive procedures. Our expertise spans revision arthroplasty, fracture management, deformity correction, and limb salvage.

About The Founder
Chad Everard began his career as a Registered Operating Room (OR) Nurse, specialising in orthopaedic surgical procedures in 1997. His hands-on experience in the operating theatre laid a strong clinical foundation that would underpin his future in the medical device industry.
Transitioning from the clinical setting, Chad went on to spend 13 years with DePuy in Perth and Victoria, holding senior leadership roles that saw him manage high-performing teams and contribute significantly to the company’s growth and reputation within the orthopaedics sector.
His next challenge came with Medacta, where he was tasked with managing operations across Victoria, Tasmania, and Western Australia during the company’s critical startup phase. Over five years, Chad played a pivotal role in establishing the brand in these markets, successfully delivering sustained growth and building strong partnerships with key surgeons and healthcare providers.
In recent years, Chad founded RCON, a consultancy focused on supporting complex and high-stakes surgical cases. This move reflects his enduring passion for orthopaedics and his commitment to applying decades of experience to deliver value to all stakeholders — from surgeons and hospital teams to patients and manufacturers.
Chad’s unique blend of clinical insight, strategic leadership, and deep industry knowledge positions him as a trusted advisor and collaborator in the ever-evolving world of orthopaedic surgery.
